I Agricola er du og dine medspillere bønder i det 17. århundrede. I starter alle ud med hver jeres lille træhytte og et stykke jord og skal derfra opbygge en velfungerende bondegård.

Agricola er et stort og ubarmhjertigt spil, hvor frygten for ikke at have mad nok til familien, konstant hviler i baggrunden, mens man har hænderne fulde med at udbygge og renovere huset, så nye afgrøder, få høsten i hus, og lave indhegning til alle gårdens dyr.
